I'm using Firefox 4.0.1 but my "Getting Started" page urges me to update as I'm using 3.6.2 Am I using 4.0.2 as my home page often fails to appear unless I "Try again" several times?

My system is Window XP Professional.

It's unusual to see "Windows Genuine Advantage" installed in Firefox. I see that in your Plugins list. It's not necessary to have that installed at all since Mozilla and Microsoft have nothing to do with each other.

I think in the first instance, click the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Plugins and disable the plugin numbered: 1.9.0009.1

As regards your home page, see How to set the home page

Still have same problem.

"Windows Genuine Advantage" installed in Firefox is not my problem.

My system tells me I'm using 4.0.1 which I think is the latest update. Although I'm urged to update from 3.6.2

Does this apparent anomaly account for being unable to to open my home page and other pages, including Firefox pages within the Firefox site without "Try again" instructions being followed?
