Cannot make account with Yahoo in Thunderbird

Cox dumped all of COX email onto Yahoo. I have used Thunderbird for years but now I cannot set up my Yahoo account in Thunderbird. We were allowed to keep the COX address. Possibly the @cox.net is confusing the software. Are there instructions for doing this? Thanks, Alex stantona@cox.net

Thank you David. Indeed one of the replies under residential support helped. I find it difficult to understand why Yahoo and Cox made it so difficult. Neither were prepared for the transition. Thank you again.
