missing log in and passwords after update

I have sync turned on for all options but everytime Firefox updates I lose all passwords and log-ins from my main Windows desktop PC, the Bookmarks are all still in place.

Log in and password infois still available on my iphone and macbook air..

How do I restore them and prevent it happening again?
