Thunderbird 78.4 is very slow on my Imac.

Hello everybody. Thanks by advance for your tips ! I'm a Thunderbird user for decade. It has always worked fine on my Imac. But the last release Thunderbird 78.4 is very slow. Especially the scroll of the left menu with my (hundreds) mail folders. Can I fix this ? On downgrade to a previous release without having to reinstall everything ? Many thanks. Gwen
