Why is fire fox closed and still using 1.2 MB/S of my disk? And Why I am unable to end process in task manager?

my firefox is closed and still running near the bottom of my process in task manager. it is using 1.3% cpu, 135.6 MB memory and 1.2MB/S disk. Also it is not showing up near the top when i click to sort using Disk usage everything below it in the list is using no resources on disk and almost everything above it is using no resource save for the top few. I want to know why its running and why I cant end process.
