Hmm, your Question Details > More System Details shows version 6.50 but Logitech shows a 6.67 download: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/software/setpoint
If you install that one, does Firefox get the update? You might need to exit and start Firefox up again for it to re-read.
Once you can see the update in Firefox, is it verified?
I have the same problem I am running setpoint 6.6783, the newest. Firefox only seems to see an older version 6.5 and disables it. IE sees the newest version, just fyi.
Is this extension installed globally (i.e. is the Remove button missing)?
Cor-el: On the version of Setpoint that FF disabled, there is no remove button. This is the older version of setpoint. There is no listing at all of the new version that I have installed. This is the latest version - 6.6783.
I installed the new version using the installer that Logitech supplies. There was no point in the installation where the installer asked about browsers. The software in installed, and IE includes it as a "browser helper object". FF does not seem to see it at all.
You can check this registry key via the Windows Registry editor to find the location of the extension. HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\
The System Detail list shows this ID for the Logitech extension:
{F003DA68-8256-4b37-A6C4-350FA04494DF}
This is the the location
C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPointP\LogiSmoothFirefoxExt
I appreciate you help, Cor-el. But, even knowing where the extension is, I'm still clueless as to what to do to make FF see it. I'm wondering, though. This is in the programfiles folder, not programfiles(x86). Could the problem be that the addon is 64bit and FF is not? IE is 64 bit and can see the addon. I'm assuming that, if the addon where 32 bit, it would be in the (x86) folder.
