When I'm trying to play videos on Youtube, firefox asks to activate flash player as usual. But when I allow to activate it, firefox gets hanged and I then I've to restart the firefox to reuse it. First I thought it's because my flash player might be out dated. Then I update the firefox and Flash Player both. But the problem remain as same. Can you tell me why this is happening and how to get rid of this problem?

I think you need adobe Flash, its not the same as Shockwave, if you do a search for Adobe Flash and download that, reboot you machine, let us know if that works.

I know you have said you installed Adobe Flash, the information added is that you dont have Adobe Flash.

You need to install the version for Firefox not for the system.

Your System Details shows;

Installed Plug-ins

Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0

Use this link to check that your plugins are up-to-date. If any are listed as unknown or research, do not worry about them.

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Use this instead. Don't just tell someone "Do This. Always show how to do something.

Update your Flash Player Version 20.0.0.286
https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
Note: Windows users should download the ‘’’active_x’’’ for “Internet Explorer,” and the ‘’’plugin’’’ for “Plugin-based browsers” (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the ’’’plugin’’’ only. Not the ’’’active_x’’’.
