thunderbird doesn't download all messages from server

I use Mailwasher to prescreen my email. it shows me all the messages waiting on the server.

After I use mailwasher to delete all the spam, etc, I then go to Thunderbird and GET MESSAGES.

SOME but NOT ALL of the messages are downloaded. I can't see anything different about the ones that are being 'ignored' - they don't have attachments or wierd contents or anything.

What Anti-virus/Firewall are you using? Suggest you stop email scanning option and retest.
