I need to be able to access work, which uses Dell's Aventail. It only works with Firefox up to 29.0.1. Every time I reinstall 29.0.1, it automatically updates despite turning off automatic updates

HI whero, Thank you for your question. In that version there was a campaign to update Firefox users to the most updated version of Firefox. It is not recommended to use older versions of Firefox because of security issues.

Since the changes made did not stop the automatic updates: Configuration Options for Updates

It is possible to try version 29 if this continues or locking the update preference: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locking_preferences
