uninstalling thunderbird and my profile (and starting over)

I was trying to manually paste in my user profile from my old PC to my new one. Apparently, I did it wrong and now I want to completely uninstall Thunderbird and start over. But it keeps my old profile data hidden away somewhere in Windows 8.1. Is there any way to COMPLETELY remove Thunderbird and all the profiles from my new PC and try again fresh. I think I know what I did wrong the first time. Thanks.

Thunderbird Profile folder can be located.

C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>\

The AppData folder is folder is a hidden folder; to show hidden folders, open a Windows Explorer window and choose "Organize → Folder and Search Options → Folder Options → View (tab) → Show hidden files and folders".

Think I got it. WIsh those directions for finding your profile were a little more Windows 8.1-specific, though, since I'm new to this version of Windows (which is very non-user-friendly, btw, imo). Thanks.
