My clock setting is incorrect for sent/received emails-fix?
I don't know how, but my time sent on my emails is incorrect and the received time is also off. I am not very good at this but would really like to know when I actually got or sent an email....Can someone help, please.

First check that your system clock is correct. Now the tough part. What time zone are you in, and what is the time zone of your e-mail provider?
It is May 12, Time is 9:27am...Your email response is dated May 12, at 12:20:41am. It also says that you posted at 7:20 am but I did not even post my question until after 9am...help. My computer system clock is correct and I live in the CTZ.
You mean Central Time Zone, yes? As I write this reply, my computer
says; 12 May 2014 at 2:16pm.
After posting this message, I checked the time stamp on the forum post. it is the same.

On your system tray, right click on the clock / calender. Select
Adjust Time / Date. Check your time zone setting. Then check that the
computer checks for the time thru the internet. If there is something
that you don't know or understand, take a snapshot and post it here.
Take a Screen shot; Windows > Start > search box > Snipping Tool.
Save the picture(s) to your desktop. Now look at the Reply box below.
Do you see the button under it that says Browse? Click it and then select
the screen shot(s) from the desktop.
Firefox doesn't do email. Look in the user preferences for your webmail portal / service for the "local time" settings for your email.
Internal computer and server clocks use UTC - GMT time (Greenwich Mean Time) a global time standard; "local time" is a user adjustment in Windows /Linux / Mac operating systems; most programs installed on that PC will use the OS setting for "local time".
Similar for programs like webmail running on websites; there is a user setting for the user's local time zone in that software, when the user is logged in.
