I was on a Web page where I was going to download a document. It asked me for my e-mail address to verify that I'm human. I got a pop-up box from Mozilla asking if I wanted to use a mask e-mail address instead. To do that, I needed to create a Mozilla account, which I've now done. But I can't figure out how to create and use a mask e-mail address. What are the next steps and where do I go to find them?

Since yesterday , Thursday 29th October. Thunderbird has only been displaying the "Inbox" for my account, no emails are visible in it and all of the directories including the deleted emails directory and spam directory are absent. I have Windows 11 installed. I am using the IMAP server for incoming email and have checked that all the settings are correct. My account displays no incoming emails but can send emails. The directories are still absent when running Trouble shooter and the inbox is still empty. In the Account Settings - Server Settings I tested connection to the server and it said secure connection made - this worked for both outgoing and incoming servers. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird but the issue persists. Although I do not change any settings the full set of directories will occasionally appear along with some emails and then seconds later disappear again. My email account is working fine on my phone and tablet using gmail.

When I attempt to send an email in Thunderbird I get an extensive string of gibberish that I have to delete before I can send the email. What can I do to get rid of this huge irritation? Thanks

I send an email and I get this response as a failed send. Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: resomta-a2p-646964.sys.comcast.net ESMTP server not available (396356/173.46.82.217).

I used to use Firefox when teaching and now use Officer for other uses. I wish to use Firefox but do not have Windows 11 on my computer. I tried to watch and take part in on on-line class but not gain access because I had to have Microsoft Google Meet and also Firefox for the broadcast from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Independent On-Line Plato program. I am trying to get access to the course that I am enrolled in, Legacy Of South Chicago's South Side". I am a registered of the Plato program and 74 years old.

Please assist me to use Office Edge/Firefox so I can take the course and future Plato classes. I was a social studies and guidance counselor for 30 years before retiring as an educator.

I was trying to figure out how to remove a totally different feature, and I guess I accidentally created a profile or something. After I fixed my original issue, I looked up regarding this issue, and I found a way to get rid of the 'profile' I created. Now I have this annoying button on application menu, and it is messing up how I interact with it. Please tell me there is a way to remove it.

I'm not receiving any emails in my Thunderbird inbox, though I'm able to send messages (but they're not being saved to my sent folder). Connection to my server keeps timing out. Also it looks like I accidentally deleted all the messages in my inbox -- no messages are currently showing when I open the inbox. I think I did this by "repairing" the inbox folder.

This just started yesterday: When I open thunderbird my inbox does not show up unless there is a new unread email in it. Also my previously set display columns and tool bar all have to be reset each time I open Thunderbird.

I have several email accounts in Thunderbird where the email address no longer exists, at least on the specified IMAP server. Thunderbird is configured to not attempt automatically getting mail for these.

I had used Thunderbird 102 on Windows 10 for years, and in that version, my mail was kept in Thunderbird for those accounts (though whenever I opened any folder in them, I was somewhat annoyingly prompted to enter my credentials since the connection to the server was failing). To copy my profile folder to a new Linux installation, I updated Thunderbird to 153.5.1esr, the same version running on Linux, as Flatpak. My mail is still kept in Thunderbird on Windows, but with the same profile on Linux, Thunderbird "hid" all folders from the offline email accounts (apart from an "Inbox" folder that is shown as empty): the files are still there in the profile directory, and Thunderbird seems to find relevant emails in search, but opening them leads to a "No mail found" screen, and there is no way to access this mail from the folder pane. How can I make Thunderbird see my mail again?

As if that was not enough, on a whim I decided to attempt the "Repair folder" option on my Windows instance of Thunderbird, where the folders were still being shown normally. I immediately regretted not having made a backup of my profile (I only have one from version 102, where the data was apparently stored rather differently), since this just deleted all mail in the selected folder entirely, with the relevant file in the profile directory being empty. (The file seems to be somewhat different on Linux too, since copying it back to the Windows profile did not restore the mail in Thunderbird, and I would probably have to copy my Thunderbird 102 backup into an install of Thunderbird 102 and manually upgrade to my/the newest version to get it back.)

I know local folders would never be deleted like this, but there does not even seem to be an option to move an entire mailbox into a local folder, other than manually. It does not appear like Thunderbird has proper support for mailboxes that are no longer available. It would be undesirable to have all my mail in some new mailbox lost in the same way after I lose access to it. (Local folders would not really help in this situation either, unless you plan out exactly when your mailbox goes offline.)

Hi folks, I just moved to Windows 10 Pro (from my faithful old Windows 7 Pro) and I installed Firefox 159.0.1 I imported all the bookmarks from my old Firefox 115.44 and I see the bookmark drop-down list is now double spaced, forcing me to scroll to get to most of the bookmarks in my list (in ver. 115 they were single spaced and all my more-commonly used bookmarks were accessible without scrolling). Since I depend on bookmarks a lot, this makes things difficult. I've searched the 'web for ways to fix this but nothing available there seem to work. Hi, I am on a Dell I9 laptop with 32GB memory and using W11. In Firefox(long-time user) I pick Google as the search engine but when I search for a topic - say BA,com - Firefox produces a google page 'Before you continue to Google' which is their cookie page and it does not scroll so I cannot make a choice of cookie preferences and therefore cannot pass the page. Likely this is a Google problem but I cannot report to Google. Why not you may ask.? Well to do that you must be able to conduct a google search and access a feedback facility. But as I cannot search, I cannot Report, Catch 22 - stupid loop - but a perfect way to cripple access to Google Search. Other search engines work OK in Firefox. Same problem in Chrome! - so do not despair, but remarkably, no problem with MS Edge.

I wondered if you could alert Google to this user problem - most people want to use Google Search - I have always used it over many years.
