Firefox crashes within ten second of being opened

Every time I open Firefox, it will freeze for a couple seconds and then it crashes within the first 10 seconds of opening it. It will crash exactly the same when I open it in safe mode. No matter what i try, it will not open.

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.

Try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 255 to a setting like 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.
