About once a month Firefox updates, every time it does, it deletes all of my short cut tabs. I am tired of going through this hassle. And it's not like they politely ask you to update, but it gets right rude about, popping up at the most inconvenient times, ruining your work.

Ask me if I want to update my Firefox, don't force it down my throat. Everybody else does, are you better than everyone else? It seems like you think so! I will uninstall if it keeps happening.

Why don't you go to Preferences > Advanced > Update, and select the When updates to Firefox are found: Ask me what to do option.

Optionally you can remove the check mark from Automatically check for updates to Firefox.
