Make Firefox forget a username

I mistakenly typed in my password immediately following my username and now it remembers that "username" every time I go to sign in. I do not want to delete all my saved passwords or cookies and have specifically gone in and deleted all cookies related to this specific website. How do I get Firefox to "forget" that one username?

  • Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
  • Highlight an entry in the drop down list
  • Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.
