i keep trying to install firefox for mac 10.4 and keep getting msg stating not good for this operating system. i downloaded the one for mac

I had firefox on my mac for the longest time and woke up one day and it was gone...poof. I am trying to install it again and each time i try to download it and install i get an error message stating it is not the right browser for this operating sysytem....help me please.
