FF hangs after upgrade to vers. 3.6.4

more options

FF freezes after upgrade, and doesn't allow me to load any websites. I've already tried deactivating all the add-ons and plug-ins. I also uninstalled FF and re-downloaded it from mozilla website, but nothing changed. The safe mode doesn't work neither. I also checked windows firewall and FF is enabled to connect to the internet. I'm currently having no problems with other browsers (Opera, IE, Chrome, Safari). I had no problem at all with vers. 3.6.3.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

I upgraded to vers. 3.6.4

User Agent

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/533.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/5.0.375.86 Safari/533.4

Chosen solution

Solution suggested by Siphon: 'I think the update is screwing with settings. After installing, the same happened to me (could not connect to any site). Solved it by going to Tools->Options->Advanced, choosing "Network" and then clicking on the "Settings" button. In the window that opened up, I selected "No Proxy" (it was on "Use system proxy"). After that it was fine for me.'

It works! Thanks!!!!!!

The longer I am on internet with Fire Fox the more it hangs. It is getting to the point it takes too long to do anything.
