RECOVER Thunderbird POP3 Account (all messages in the IN BOX & folders are? gone)
Tuesday Oct. 7, our ISP converted to a new e-mail program. I could NOT log in/on I called our ISP's help desk. The 'technician' could not help me log in to our Thunderbird POP 3 account. He had me, WITHOUT asking if I had essential - legal - medical-etc. e-mails in the IN BOX or in folders! He NEVER warned/cautioned all ?would? be lost - GONE.
I URGENTLY need to recover all TB POP3 IN BOX & e-mails in folders. I need to access legal messages today, if possible.
If Mozilla does not have a recovery program, what do I do? I am not seeking to recover ' deleted messages (unless his having me change from the POP3 account to a 'new' IMAP account is the same as ' "delete" '.
Any & all prompt responses APPRECIATED! Remain WELL & Be SAFE!

David,
>SmileS< If I could only speak your language, the problem would be solved.
As far as I know, with your help, I have created a POP3 account for dulca@duo-county.com.
None of the 20 +/- labeled folders follow (under) the In Box. No saved posts/messages are visible (since there's no folders) and the In Box is empty. Granted, I have not switched to the POP3 account & clicked Get Messages.
So, until - unless I can recover the old messages that remained in the In Box AND recover the folders & messages saved in the folders, so far, having a POP3 account leaves me swinging in the wind.
If I understand (correctly) everything that I had in the old POP3 In Box and in the folders is here in/on the laptop's HD, but I have NO idea how to locate them and then get everything in the new POP3 account.
Hoping I'm clear - you understand now.
Remain WELL & be SAFE!

Robin,
OK, my mistake. I had inferred that you had recovered a few items and were not still searching for more. All I can suggest for that is to find a reputable company that can dig through and document everything found. I also suggest not using the computer in the interim, as every time you use the computer, Windows software might be overwriting it. I fear that the data you want may be already gone.
