Loading message very slow with photos as attachment

Hello, when I click on an unread email with big photos as attachment Thunderbird needs really long to loading the message. I think TB wants to show the photos in the email. Is there an option/extension/etc. not to download, show the just thumbnails, just show the attachment icons on the bottom or something like that?

I am using a portable version of TB (91.6.1 - 64-bit) from PortableApps. Its on my USB 3.
