getting message to update software
Getting a message "Please install latest software update to continue". The url is https://performcurrentuberapplication.best/jsbKqY3RiEt1SNz0dPD3YddNvKiaezsNFbFqRWvorqQ?clck=202007261903514807&sid=[SUB_ID]. I have tried to continue, but it never appears to complete and the the window pops up a short time later. This looks suspicious. What do I do?

What you are seeing is indeed a fake update popup trying to get you to install a virus or modified version of Firefox.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller (for more info, see this alternate TDSSKiller download page)
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
Hope this helps.
