Why won't my new custom search engine work?

more options

I'm trying to add the search engine on the PubMed proxy website for my university to my search bar, but it's not working correctly. When I type in a term and click the icon for the search engine, it just takes me to the website without doing the search for me. Which I guess is better than nothing, but this worked seamlessly for me with the PubMed proxy for my last university for years. I tried adding the search for an auto parts website, and that works, so I seem to have the process of adding a search engine right. What am I missing?

Is there a public link for the OpenSearch XML file that you're installing? It sounds as though it may only work from a particular network...
