You were advised to

and that would appear to be one of aol.com or carrierzone.com.

Abuse may not mean bad or disrespectful language, but misuse of a service. Possibly there has been an attempt to relay a message, i.e. send it via an inappropriate server.

Have you tried again yet? Sometimes these things just sort themselves out, given time.

I did forward the original message with the notation of "2nd attempt" and it does not seem to have come back yet. Will wait a while.

What the message is saying is one of the following.

1. Your mail provider has been blacklisted by AOL or sending SPAM. It may have nothing to do with you at all. 2. You may have been flagged as sending spam to an AOL customer, so your email address is blacklisted. 3. Abuse in this instance means abuse of terms of service or the carriage service. Not telling someone they are an idiot, or questioning their parentage.
