The above "address" is for a US Government / Medicare web site. I understand that much of the federal government is in turmoil right now, but is it reasonable that a Medicare site would be improperly configured ?

There's a typo in your URL, maybe, as I see a space between "comp" and "are". It should be https://www.medicare.gov/hospitalcompare/search.html
