Sometimes (not always) my Thunderbird mail application freezes, particularly when I am deleting email in the INBOX. So, I close Thunderbird and start it again. Once re-started, it runs fine.

How can I correct this glitch?

You probably need to adjust you anti virus to exclude it from scanning your Thunderbird profile, or modify windows search to not index the Thunderbird profile.
