I cannot use Neo Safe Keys (from Aplin software) in FF 44.02

more options

Before Firefox version 44.02 I was able to use Aplin Softeware's (http://www.aplin.com.au/) Neo Safe Keys with Firefox. Neo Safe Keys is a virtual keyboard where I can click on virtual keys to "type" in my password and then drag this masked password into a website's login Password field. If I choose to I could even use this to type my username and drag that into the User name field of a website's login page.

Since the 44.02 version, when I try to use this program I get a "no entry" sign (circle with line across) when dragging the masked text into the password or username field.

I am hoping that this can be fixed as I use Neo Safe keys every time I log in to do my banking even at home.

My OS is Win7 Pro SP1 64bit. I have 16GB of RAM. My Processor is an Intel i7-4771 @ 3.50GHz

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like a jerk, but 44.02 is not a valid version number. When I have a doubt about what a user posts I don't automatically assume that it is merely a typo, I defer to what this fora "reads" from the browser used to post here and go by that. Firefox 44.0 as shown in both "System Details" and "More System Details". So I wanted to may sure that "we" were on the same page, so to speak. The 0.# for "chem-spill" versions isn't picked up in the User Agent, which is what websites can read. Of which 2 have been release after 44.0 was released.

Do you have the latest Firefox 44.0.2 version installed? See - Help > About Firefox to see the full version number and to trigger a check for an update.

Have you contacted the developer of that application for support? http://www.aplin.com.au/contact-us

I have no idea how that "hooks" into Firefox.

I really, really do not mean for this to sound rude because I am a huge fan of Firefox but I cannot believe the you are asking me: "Do you have the latest Firefox 44.0.2 version installed?" when the very title of my post is: "i cannot use Neo Safe Keys (from Aplin software) in FF 44.02".

I realize that 44.02 is not the same as "44.0.2" but anyone should have gotten what I meant.

So yes, of course! I do have Fire fox version 44.0.2 and this is what broke Neo Safe Keys from working.

Neo Safe Keys have no hooks into Fire Fox. It is a completely standalone program. It is used as a precaution against keylogging software.

The problem is not with Neo Safe keys because that software did not change. It's still the same version I always used. What changed was FireFox to version 44.0.2

So it is a Fire Fox issue.
