I did something wrong and I couldn't go into my email in any account, so I decided in my MacBook Pro to send Thunderbird ti the Trash from Applications and start from scratch. But... Now every time that I download and install Thunderbird it comes wirth the old account on it so with the same problem. I did try to delete the account but, after highlighting the account, the "Remove Account" is greyed and can't be used.

How to install from scratch with nothing on it?

Your problem is in your profile, not in the program so try to create a new profile, Use Thunderbird -P to start profile-manager.

You don't need to set up any account at this stage. You can import account-setups etc from your old profile later (or reenter them) You can also import address book and mail.
