where do i find setting to advise of a duplicate save?

i used to get a message that would advise me that the file i was about to save already existed... did i want to overwrite or cancel... how do i get that again. ( i use flash video downloader and they say its my browsers settings)

Type about:preferences in your address bar or open the option. In the Download section, select Always ask me where to save files.
