I have went to security to I block pop ups with no exceptions but it still persists. I tried to upload an image of the screenshot so you can see, but its taking a long time (over 10 mins).

The AOL toolbar extension has been reported to cause this issue with a blank pop-up window appearing on startup.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

I don't have AOL Toolbar extension. I would never use AOL, I consider it a fraudulent company. But I do have Yahoo.com toolbar. I follow you safe mode. The box did not come up. So I closed firefox, open new firefox and disable one the extension. I closed, reopened and see if the box appear. Did this until the box didn't appear. When I disable the Yahoo tool bar it did not come back. So I will see if this continue before I pushed the helpful button.
