hi, there are probably a few ways: for once you could pin the mail tab: Pinned Tabs - keep favorite websites open and just a click away

then there is also the possibility to set multiple different tabs as your homepage in the options > general section by seperating differnet urls with a "|" (for example www.mozilla.org|www.yahoo.com): How to set the home page

I don't understand. I would like to have a list of visited websites similar to the favorites list in IE. How do I do that?

If I'm not wrong favorites in IE work like bookmarks in FF. So may you use bookmarks for that.

Use Ctrl+B for quick access to bookmarks. Use star button to get site bookmarked.

or you can use "show my windows and tabs from last time" option. This option saves browser state when you press close button. Menu (three row button on right top)->general->"when Firefox starts" and choose from dropdown list.

If you want different thing, let us know.
