I have attached a screenshot of the retention settings for the Gmail All Mail folder. This folder contains emails that have a date nine years ago. Can you tell me if I did something wrong in the retention settings?

I thought earlier today it was using the retention settings but I just checked and it is not.

is it possible to make the cache bigger than the 1gb it has i have spent hours trawling though the data and cannot find it please help a 70 yr old even ifs a no cannot be done

On my Samsung A05 Thunderbird does not show received email dates only the day. This is useless for finding emails going back more than a week or two. I don't care what day of the week it was received, just the date and time. Earlier solution offered (via message lists) not in any of my menus so cannot use. Please advise how to show dates. Please add an UNDO feature to the Android version.

It has happened to me multiple times that when trying to scroll (esp in the bus) it registers as a swipe & deletes a message.

and then it's really hard to scan the trash to figure out which message it was

at the same time, i don't want to be asked for confirmation *every* time i delete something - I'll spend as much time "confirming" as deleting messages.

So the ideal in an undo button somewhere in the interface where a can undo the last action (from a subset, since I'm guessing not every action can be undone). The desktop version has it, hopefully it can be migrated to the android version.

When incoming email arrives a notification sound is heard on the phone which is fine. But when connected to Android Auto the notification sound is not heard nigher on the phone or through the car speakers. Other apps on the phone such as Signal and WhatsApp do play the notification while connected to Android Auto so it's not an Android Auto setting that's the issue. Why would the notification play fine on the phone but not while connected to Android Auto while other apps do?

Where is the "New Window" option in file menu of the 152.0.5 version of Firefox? why is there no 'New Window option" in file menu of the 152.0.5 version of Firefox? There is only one option, "New Private Window." If this is the new version of Firefox and I have been a fan and consumer for over 20 years, I am going to use Safari.

I use Thunderbird 152.0.1 (64-Bit) and I only have three items in the files & attachment section of general settings (JPG, PDF, Excel). How can I add more items, for other file types? Is there an easy way to do this or does this mean I have to deep dive into the configuration of Thunderbird?

And would it be possible to add an item to declare that website links in e-mails have to be opened with Firefox in private mode, which is not the standard browser on my machine?

Hello All, The opening email changed to a reader that works, but I'd prefer to use the "Classic Reader" by default. Searching the settings hasn't turned up anything that sounds right. Is there a behind-the-scenes file that I need to edit to resolve this issue?

I transferred data to a new computer. I have two emails, when I click 'New Message' one email has a line below the subject line that allows me to set Paragraph, Variable width, font color, Font size Bold, etc. the other does not have the line where do I turn it on at?

I want to delete the amount of emails the Thunderbird stores on my local computer.

I do not want the email on the server deleted.

I went to settings, local folders, disk space and chose the option for Delete messages more than 30 days old.

I made the change and ran compact.

It's not deleting the emails at all.

Why not ?

Again, I do not want to delete the emails anywhere else (on the server), so making the change under the folder or my account is not it.

Anyone able to point me to where the problem is and why the emails are not being deleted from my local disk ?
