What the living hell is this? This is prevalent on every PC I've installed FF. Just starting a clean browser with a single tab use 19GB of RAM within 1 second... No wonder why browsing been excruciatingly slow since the previous update.

Yes, I use add-ons like 90% of the users, but that should not warrant a serious and consistent memory leak.

Firefox freezes some seconds or some minute after I open the program, I end task and wait to reopen the program, opening up the program it continues to freeze. I've reset firefox multiple times, cleared cache & webdata, completly uninstalled FF and reinstalled it, doesn't solve it. Starting firefox in troubleshooting mode also freezes and hangs. After end tasking firefox multiple times it eventually stops freezing but during the next day when I open the browser the issue returns, The same goes after I reinstalled it after uninstalling it, works for the rest of the day but the next day the issue returns. Background: I switched from chrome to Firefox some months ago and imported webdata from chrome to FF.

I assumed so because my longest hang time would end up being ten minutes, which was the first time, never got past 5 minutes afterwards. Fast forward to now, it has been a few weeks since I used my pc due to general life business, so I had to turn it on, firefox opens, hang takes FIFTY MINUTES. I have also had to restart firefox several times due to missing updates and each and every hang time has taken a MINIMUM half an hour, and this is before giving up and closing the window on many instances. I have been sat here trying to do anything in firefox for over five hours now. The ONLY excuse that I can make up is the main reason I'm at my pc is because it needs updates and is currently downloading updates, so that is using a lot of my disc (I'm on an HDD if that's important), however it shouldn't take nearly an HOUR to use firefox for like a minute and then take ANOTHER hour simply due to hang time. I have also checked task manager and Firefox is using very little cpu (0%-2% at most) and not a lot of ram (initial hangs were down to ~50 mb, now it's around 300). The only thing I can think of is that the issue could be with the history file being corrupted, but since I have that synced with a mobile device, i don't know what that would do, nor do I want to lose my history, but otherwise i am at a loss and need more advice.

Firefox's performance keeps getting worse. I have to clear the startup cache several times a day just to get any sort of decent performance! Reinstalling hasn't helped, and disabling add-ons hasn't provided a solution either. Has anyone else experienced this, and/or does anyone have a solution to the problem?

As soon as I signed into the browser to sync my account, this issue began. I have deleted profile locks, started new profiles, opened in troubleshooting mode, fully reinstalled, and the issue continued (even before signing back in). I am out of troubleshooting steps and would like to avoid blowing my VM away if at all possible. Someone please help!

I started noticing that Firefox was giving me a lot of "not responding" freezes the past couple of weeks. The past couple of days I basically cannot access Firefox at all - constant, immediate freezing. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling (multiple times), disabling hardware acceleration, running troubleshooter mode (still freezes! if it opens at all!), deleting profiles, restarting my computer, etc. I've done just about everything I can find online about this issue. Nothing has worked. I have no issues with Chrome or Edge.

Any suggestions??

I have been struggling with a persistent issue for months now which is hard to fully describe, but simply put when I go to type in certain text boxes on websites, the input will repeat and cut random parts of the words, making it impossible to type anything coherent.

For example: "Hello world this is a test of typing on firefox" becomes: "HHelHH world this is a test of typing on firefoxello"

Backspacing to try and delete the text feels jittery as the letters take a long time to delete and can cause more garbled text to appear.

I have had this issue on multiple devices: Samsung Galaxy A54 5g, Android 16, Fennec 151.0.0 Google Pixel 6A, Android 17, iceraven-2.45.0 AND Fennec 157.0.0

I can replicate this semi reliably on the following specific sites: nekoweb.org/dashboard/editor/[page] (typing anywhere in the HTML editor) teams.cloud.microsoft (typing in the box to send a message)

If anyone has any idea on how I can fix this I would really appreciate it! Please let me know if there is any further information I can provide to help figure this out.

I am having issues making the menu bar reappear after I enter full screen and I am using only the touchscreen on my laptop I can't get it to reappear I have to tap the screen like crazy, when in the past I could just slide down and it just worked it.

The keyboard straight up doesn't show up when I tap on writable spaces. Like this support page, twitch or other chats, search boxes on Ddg or Google, or many other sites with writable boxes. Sometimes the keyboard will show up but won't actually let me write anything, and won't go away with normal means. When I try to close it, it just goes back a page and the keyboard stays on the screen not functioning. It's quite annoying and won't let me do what I want. I wrote this in a notepad app and copy paste it, 'cuz it won't let me write anything on the support page.

My phone is a ZenFone 10

On 3 different android phones, I am unable to tap on security and privacy in settings. I can tap on "set as default browser" before it and I can tap on "private browsing" after it, but I cannot tap on security and privacy. This is true of all 3 androids in the house.

This morning, I can no longer download (Save) files to my computer, nor check/change settings in Firefox. Tried all troubleshooting steps to no avail.

If I delete and reinstall Firefox, will I lose all my Bookmarks, etc.? Running version 157.0 (aarch64).

Hi I recently upgraded my redmi note 9 4/128 to lineageos 23.2 before and after I use Firefox nightly (because Firefox is my default on PC and extension support) as my main browser But some times on miui it was laggy and now in lineage when I opened forkgram fdroid and Firefox nightly it freezes Is there any option to change to avoid freezing?
