Maybe settings?

I started getting a different login screen for yahoo and so I was on the lookout for the https:// that would ensure I'm at a real website. I noticed that I don't get any https:// on anything in my FF esr 140. Even if I enter it with the address, it disappears as soon as I click to open the website. I tried out Edge and the https:// is there. Is there some reason this is being removed in FF, as it is something reassuring and doesn't take up much space.

Sometimes, after restarts, FF forgets every site I'm logged into. Open tabs persist, the login sessions do not. I have no better observation of when this happens, I'm afraid - it's not every time. Because of this it's very hard to reproduce reliably - over the past 2 weeks, it didn't happen and now it was 2 days in a row. "Clear cookies and site data" is definitely off. I have no extensions apart from Dark Reader and uBlock. Because my daily work requires me to use a dozen sites I have to log into, all using 2FA, this is incredibly annoying. I have also completely reset my profile, which did help for a while but then it started again - so I'm thinking the profile reset was more of a coincidence than actual causality.

I can't sign into my RBS Digital Banking page using Firefox. The display flips back and forth uncontrollably from Login page to Are You still Here? page. Login via Safari is as normal .. but Firefox is my preferred browser.

Keyboard focus properly defaults to the address bar for new normal windows, and new tabs both normal and private. It is ONLY in new private windows that the address bar does not auto-grab keyboard input.

The address bar is highlighted as though it SHOULD have input focus, but typing does nothing until I click in the address bar manually.

This is unfathomably annoying. I've tried fiddling with various settings in about:config, and I've tried running in troubleshoot mode to rule out extensions causing the issue. Also tried a fresh firefox profile and the issue persisted.

When will FireFox VPN be available in South Africa? I've always used FF and really like the way it works. I'm a pensioner (retired head of Cybersecurity) and appreciate that your offerings are free. However if i wish to make a contribution how do i do that? Kudos to everyone!

I use Linux Mint and I have been experiencing numerous system crashes involving Firefox which requires a cold boot. What is the problem? How can I debug this? Are you getting crash reports?’

This happens several times a week. It has happened continuously tonight since installing the latest update via the Software Manager.

The program causes a total freeze of the OS. All other running programs and all input sources. I have no choice but to shut down via the power button on the tower.

Mint generates crash reports but I have no way to determine if they are being sent to Mozilla.

Firefox for Linux does not provide a troubleshooting system like it does on Windows. Neither does Mint.

I studied Computer Science in the 80s when Firefox was known as Navigator. I learned C and the Unix OS, but since then I became a psychologist, and don't remember too much of the Com Sci stuff I learned and I don't think Mint allows user modifications anyway.

What can be done to fix this? I don't have the Benjamins to buy a new Windows to replace the Linux, nor do I want to.

My personal laptop was being repaired, and I was using my mom's old laptop until mine was fixed. I logged out of her Mozilla account on that laptop and signed into my own. Now that I have my personal laptop back, all of my passwords, bookmarks, and extensions are mixed in with all of hers. I don't know what to do, and I'm worried that if I remove bookmarks from my account, it'll create a domino effect that results in a catastrophic Mother's Day.... Please help, I'm not good with technology, I'm just a geology major.

It's checked in settings, the US english language pack is installed, I did the about:config thing as well and it's still not working. Oh yeah, also used troubleshoot mode - turned off all addons - and still doesn't work.

after i turn on location in settings, i keep getting a notification that my shared experiences needs fixing and i need to put in my PIN every time. but if location is off, i stop getting the shared experiences problem.

see above... i do not like what ever you did to my firefox opening page yesterday, i lost the top right marker that opened all my bookmarks which i had a bookmark for my email now that is gone so i can not get my email. So frustrating. Been a Firefox user for nearly two decades and this is first ongoing issue I have not been able to fix . . .

I work with 7-10 open tabs at any given time. Whenever I close a tab, my entire browser shifts and resizes. It's quite disruptive.

I've gone into AI and done some config troubleshooting, but nothing working.

Dell desktop running Mint Mate 22. Bookmarks missing about 50% of bootups. Saved bookmarks to both HTML and JSON during an occasion they did appear, when they next were missing attempted to restore them via Library pop-up (Manage bookmarks). I could not determine a path to direct the system to either locally saved file. In Library, selected Restore, which then asks me to choose file, but none of the data fields accepted or acted upon input. re-installed Firefox but same result. Then clicked on the saved HTML file, multiple screens flashed on the display, with multiple items in the tray. The final result was the bookmarks were all displayed as expected, but since the problem has been inconsistent, unknown whether they will display on future bootups.

Wish to have guidance on using the Library pop-up to restore saved bookmarks when they are missing. Perhaps some knowledgeable user could post a step-by-step through the restore process.

I used the built in VPN, and now I either have to use private, or use a different browser entirely. I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, restarted both my internet and PC. I do not know what else to do.

Mac OS 26.4.1 Firefox 150.0.1 I don't know if this the right topic for this question: My mailto doesn't seem to be working correctly. There are two places on this web page where there are mailto links and both send me to a screen that asks which application to use for mailto. When I select Firefox it just sends me back to the page that I clicked the mailto link and that's it. i have a new website tvbmaloha.com called "aloha bumper stickers" , and the order page does not display on my desktop mac , but displays elsewhere fine . the page loads but it is consistently blank. godaddy has been unable to fix this , as the page loads fine on other devices. any help would be appreciated. thanks ! it displays with crome and safari fine.

Unfortunately the paste is broke once again, but differently! When I copy text from another website (e.g. Wikipedia articles or YouTube video titles) and try to paste the values only (ctrl + shift + v), nothing happens except for a little black box appears that says "paste." Doing a normal paste works and pasting (whether values or otherwise) within the google sheet works as well, only between sheets and another website.

My firefox has been updated to include the new VPN feature, which I'm very excited for!, but when I click on the VPN button on my toolbar, and after I sign in, I can see the "Turn on VPN" button but nothing happens when I click on it. It's been like this for a couple of weeks now and I just assumed it was something that would be fixed eventually, knowing that this feature is still in beta. But now that it's been a few weeks with no change, I thought it best to actually reach out and bring it to your attention.
