Though I do not perform any particular task, to my knowledge, that causes it to appear, I ignore it and go on with no apparent ill-effects.

I do want to know what action/actions precipitate the issuance of this message and whether or not there is a fix. It is annoying as it interferes with my activities.

Can you attach a screenshot of the problem?

The message could be coming from a website you visit. If it pops up regardless of what page you're on, it could be caused by one of your add-ons. Restart Firefox with Add-ons Disabled to check if that's the case.

If the problem goes away in Safe Mode, you can either try to determine which add-on is to blame, or you can Reset Firefox and get rid of them all.
