I download mp3 files with the Firefox add-on DownloadHelper. Before the most recent Firefox update, I could the mp3 showed up in the download box and I would double-click it and it would automatically open in itunes. Now, the mp3 shows up in the new download bar and I can't open it directly to itunes. Then when I try to "open containing folder" nothing happens. I've tried multiple files, checking for Firefox updates, and restarting my computer.

Starting in Firefox 21, MP3 media (MPEG-encoded media) can be played using the built-in HTML5 player and the encoding/decoding bits supplied by Windows. It may be that DownloadHelper is not compatible with this change.

To switch off that new feature, try the steps in this thread: How to disable the built-in media player in FFv21?

Does that fix it?

You might also check for updates to DownloadHelper in case they're on top of this already.

That didn't help =( But it turns out that I can't seem to open other files from the download window in firefox. This includes files not downloaded with download helper. They don't open if I double click the file or click "open containing folder" Any ideas how to fix this??
