I have downloaded firefox 17; but it appears that the installednstill shows 15 and 16

After downloading moxilla firefox 17, I note that installed programmes are still showing both 15.0 and 16.0.2 and not 17. What has happened and how can it be rectified. You had previously stated that the latest change would rectify this; but it does not appear to havce. What will be done?
