I have a late model Intel iMac. Is it possible to have two Firefox browsers at one time? Currently, I have Safari and Firefox. I prefer Firefox. Thanks!

I have an Intel iMac. I am using Safari 5.0.5 and Firefox 9.0.1. I would like to be using two Firefox browsers, Is that possible? With Firefox I am not tracked. I like my privacy! With Safari I am being tracked. I have a new app called "Cookie", and I found out how rampant the tracking is with Safari. What happened to privacy? Is it too much to ask to have a bit of privacy? Anyway, thank you!

Hi,

One way would be to use the current Firefox with multiple profiles. No information is shared between the profiles and it's almost like having two Firefoxes. Please see this.

Another way would be to use a portable Firefox. In this case you would have two Firefoxes. http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=132

Still another way would be to install a future Firefox. It installs side-by-side with the current Firefox. You can try Beta, Aurora or Nightly with Beta being the most stable in that order. This way you can help and be a part of the development process of Firefox and it doesn't need any other effort other than the installation. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/
