Why does FF 8.0 maximize to both monitors?

more options

I updated from FF 2.0 to 8.0. I have a Colorgraphic 2 monitor setup. When I maximize FF 8.0, it maximizes to both monitors. My other programs and FF 2.0 did not do this. My multi-screen software is set so maximizing only takes place in the monitor where the curser is, not both. It's like FF 8.0 ignores the multi-screen software rules. Can this be fixed?
