when I start up foxfire, the page the loads and any further browsing is extended to the right further than the window shows. I can get it to work correctly if I click the Green plus button on the window to maximize the window to full screen and then click it again to restore it to the size it was. Is there any way to fix this so it just loads up correctly upon starting the application?

Window sizes and positions are stored in the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder.

This can be a problem with the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder.
