When I click on to a site . . . I get that page plus an empty Firefox page.

Whenever I use Firefox . . . and, click onto an item to get more information or whatever . . . I always get the page I want but then I get a minimized page which has all the tool bars but is otherwise blank. Now, some times I get a full page which just says Firefox and the rest is a big white blank. So, to see the page I want, I first need to close the blank page which is now covering it. Needless to say this is disturbing.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
