How do I block or prevent google adwords on web pages?

ads are everywhere, but when you pass your cursor over an adword their popups are a pain to close without clicking on them. How can I eliminate adword popup etc. altogether?

I use Adblock Plus and do not see any adsense type ads. When you install Adblock Plus it will ask you to add a filter subscription, I use EasyList.
