October 20 update broke my Home Automation system

david983

I suspect the issues is the latest "we are protecting you" mindset.

I have a home-grown Home Automation system. I use a web interface that allows me to send some commands to my HA system through a web browser. The web server is an Apache server sitting on a machine inside my network.

Suddenly, I can no longer use my phone to control the system (to turn off all the lights once I am in bed). I tracked the issue down to a refusal of Firefox to go to a 192.168.1.x address.

Do I need to abandon Firefox or can this issue be resolved peacefully?

Hi, it there any error message?

Sometimes I get a blank page. I do not get a specific error message.

It simply will not access pages nor links to an internal 192.168.1.X ip.
