Cannot re-install Firefox after re-installing Windows 11.

I want to re-install Firefox after having re-installed Windows 11. But the installation keeps freezing or I get a message that it's already installed and just needs to be refreshed, which doesn't work either. I tried removing the Mozilla program files from File Explorer but that froze at 99% complete, although the files did show in the Recycle Bin. I definitely need help.
