Google search wont work after turning off VPN
I enabled the Firefox browser VPN as a test and then disabled it, after the Google search no longer worked.
Error says Google.com is unavailable, can't connect to servers etc.
Any ideas how to fix it ?

Hi there, this is a weird one and it doesn't sound related with the VPN. Are you able to see any other website? Is the issue still there with google.com ?
It is related to the VPN; if I enable it, Google search works, but when it's disabled, Google search does not work.
All other websites are fine

Thanks John, may I ask where are you based?
Hi, I am in the Uk
Alright, then google is certainly not blocked in your country. One last question, can you try from your mobile on Firefox with no vpn and on mobile data?
Firefox on my mobile and on my iPad works fine, it's only since I enabled the Firefox VPN to test it out on my iMac.
Hey john1216, apologies for the late reply, I have to say your bug is rather particular. This is what I am thinking is happening, after your update something changed in your IP and now google.com is blocked. When you are trying via VPN, because you're connecting to a proxy, you don't see that issue anymore. That's why on your mobile it also works fine. I was talking with an engineer and they were asking: - have you tried to restart your Firefox, does the issue still persists? - can you confirm that you didn't see this before you updated to Firefox 150? And after you updated, and before you enabled the VPN, did by any change also checked then?
