On my MacBook Pro laptop, when I minimize a Firefox tab I cannot access other apps on the laptop. I can see them, but they do not respond to a click on them until I unminimize a Firefox tab.

No matter the OS, you don't minimize tabs, you minimize windows. I'm on a 2012 macbook and find navigating the different windows a wee bit of a pain compared to linux and windblows. I'm guessing on the new mac os it could be better.

I forgot about the gestures and just found that using four fingers to get mission control to show all the windows that are not minimized. On linux, I have it set when I move my mouse to the left side of the screen, it will show all windows on the desktop, minimized or not.
