Could you explain the exception in more detail? Usually add-ons store their data in a completely separate file from website history.

I don't understand your question, but here is more information:

LastPass is an Extension LastPass is a website

LastsPass's website is in my exemptions - it does nothing for the extension

When I close Firefox all data is cleared

When I open Firefox I must log into the LastPass Extension, this is what I would like to prevent

Under the LastPass Extension settings - I have turned off the following:

Security Log out when all browsers are closed - no Log out after this many minutes of inactivity - no

Firefox will not allow me to turn off - Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed

Is there a more specific question I can help with?

Could you let me know your History settings?

Open the Settings page (menu button > Settings or Preferences) and click Privacy & Security in the left column.

Scroll down to the History section. There are three main options:

  • Firefox will: Remember history
  • Firefox will: Never remember history
  • Firefox will: Use custom settings for history => select this to show detailed settings

With Custom Settings shown:

[_] Always use private browsing mode => must NOT be checked if you want to keep specific cookies

[?] Remember browsing and download history => not relevant to your problem

[?] Remember search and form history => not relevant to your problem

[X] Clear history when Firefox closes => we need to review the detailed settings:

[X] History => it's okay to continue clearing [X] Cookies and site data => it's okay to continue clearing IF you created a site exception for LastPass (later step) [?] Temporary cached files and pages => any setting is okay [_] Site settings => do not clear because this will remove site exceptions

So far so good?

Site Exception

Back up the Settings page, Privacy & Security panel, in the "Cookies and Site Data" section:

Click the "Manage Exceptions" button to make sure both of these are listed with the Allow permission:

All good there?

If you close out of "Manage Exceptions" and look in "Manage Data", can you spot anything else that looks relevant to LastPass (website or extension)?

I think that did that did the trick - I'm unure which step but set it and forget it. Thank you or the assistance.
