tb local folders
Can sks please explain purpose of local folders? I have 2 accounts with their own sets of folders, why do I need Local Folders as well? Desktop win 10 64 bit system.

A person would need to see all settings for both accounts and any filters. I have no idea.

Are these POP accounts? What local folders are you referring to?
Hi David, thanks for reply. Since I added a second email account to my Thunderbird, I find that emails arriving at account A (the original one) spend a second or two in the inbox and then fly from there to the trash folder under Local Folders. I have Trash folder under each of my 2 accounts and below those are local folders that I don't remember seeing before. So my problem is maybe twofold..first, why is mail being flagged as spam (prob. Not a Thunderbird issue) and also why do they not go to the account Trash folder? Forgive my ignorance, just starting to find out more about Thunderbird after years of happy use. The accounts are one pop and one imap, I think.
To be more clear, under account A there are folders, including Trash and others created by me . Then under account B there are more folders for that account. Below these I see Local Folders, including a third Trash folder. Never used these or noticed them, don't know what they are for.
The trash folder in Local Folders is there in case you have messages in local folders and delete them. The trash folders for accounts wouldn't be appropriate, so there is one for local folders as well.
Thanks David, I now understand the need for it. I now need to know what I may have set up wrong to cause emails to disappear quickly from account inbox abd appear in the local folders trash. Any ideas? I could maybe understand if the emails went from account A inbox to account A trash.
