The new version won't download. The donation screen comes up. Do you have to donate to download the new version? I need help to upgrade. The thunderbird logo keeps coming up and I can't easily access my emails.

Donating is not required.

I see you are on Windows 10. What is your current version, seen at Help > About?

If you are having trouble downloading Thunderbird, does updating from Help > About show an error?
