96 update has changed the colors at the top of the window. I have sight problems and can no longer read what it says in URL, etc. Anybody want to file an ADA lawsuit? Did they bother to have anyone who has sight issues test the changes? I went to the Windows settings and mine are unchanged. Why is Firefox overriding the Windows settings? I've used Firefox for years and have been generally happy with it, but I will have to switch browser if this change is not fixed. I have to be able to read it.

It is possible you selected one of the Colorways themes that are included in Firefox.

You can find the built-in themes (System, Light, Dark) and further down the Colorways themes included in Firefox on the "Add-ons and Themes" page (Ctrl+Shift+A; Themes tab) and go back to the theme you were using previously like the Default System theme.

Re: cor-el posted an answer to your question "96 update"

I had never been in the themes. As best as I can remember (I also have memory problems), the top was just plain black letters on white, like a piece of paper. That's what I can see the best. Besides the colored background, in most of the themes, it's shaded from light at the top to dark at the bottom, so I can sort of see the tops of the letters, but not the bottoms. In addition, the black letters seem to have white edging around them, which makes the lack of contrast even worse.

The system theme wasn't even close. I searched 36 pages of themes, the best I found was Black and Blue Firefox, which is all white except for the logo on the right-hand corner, where it doesn't really get in the way. I set that for my theme for now, but I shouldn't have had to waste my time doing this stuff.

Everything was normal last night; I said ok to download update; in the morning it was all messed up. I searched for help and found lots of other people upset with changes made with update 96. Firefox should set everyone back to 95, and offer changes as add-ons for those who want them.

I forgot to say that there's only searching by scrolling through the themes, all billion of them. Why isn't there things you can ask for like background color and text color and so forth?

There's obviously ways to create themes because there's so many of them. I have no idea how to do that myself. Why should I, a 67-year-old retired schoolteacher, have to be involved in that?
