Thunderbird displays a very nice listing of emails showing From:, Subject:, Date:, and Size:

Very often, I want to copy and paste that display, or download it into a file. Any editable format! .txt! .csv! .doc!

This should be nearly trivial since you already have to display the information. Even easier, since there are no worries about line width, etc.

Pretty Please? Can I help?

Alternatively, do you document the organization of the database you use for searching messages? Does it fit with mysql or any common database manager?

I look forward to your gracious reply!

This is a very useful tool. I looked around for a way to include the size information in the downloaded spreadsheet, but did not find that yet. Or, perhaps even better, the Message ID.

What I am really trying to do is merge multiple Thunderbird mail mboxes and remove duplicates. I make .txt files and then use diff. It's a bit tedious but at least possible. If there were a "merge" function that eliminated duplicates that would be terrific.

Thanks much for the pointer.

Install the ImportExportTools NG add-on to export a folder index (see picture).
