Continous updates available announcements keep on annoyibng me
Hello Why is it that every time I open Firefox, I get a message asking me to update? If this persists, I may need to use another browser. I keep pressing the "download" button for the upgrade but nothing happens. Could this be the issue? Please help as I do not want to change my browser. What have I done wrong that the upgrade is not happening automatically? Thanks

Should be answered in this thread:
Your User Agent shows you are using the current Firefox version. Note: v95 just came out yesterday. But this would not cause the update message from anyone.
Whenever you get a message / popup that
software / files need to be updated;
DO NOT USE ANY OF PROVIDED LINKS
While this may be a legitimate message, it could also be Malware or a Virus. Anytime you want or need to check for upgrades, go to the website of the True Owner of the program in question. For example, to check out Firefox, go to https://www.mozilla.org
You can report such a site at;

Google Report Phishing Page
which is the same when done while on site by going to

Do you have enabled "Resist Fingerprinting" if you check ‘’’Resist Fingerprinting’’’
on the ‘’’about:config’’’ page as this affects the user agent?
- privacy.resistFingerprinting = false

’’’Avast AntiTrack’’’ is also known to cause this issue.
